Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 2010 housemates Bret Jackson and Fretzie Bercede will cast as star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet, a stage production on September 24 at Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex, 11 AM and 6 PM.

Shamcey Supsup gets in Top 5 finalists Miss Universe pageant

Another Filipina made a historical attempt in getting the most prestigious Miss Universe crown at Sao Paulo, Brazil last Monday night (Tuesday morning in RP). Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup bagged the 3rd runner-up place in the world largest beauty pageant.

Kudos to Shamcey for ranking higher than her predecessor Ma. Venus Raj, Binibining Pilipinas 2010 representative placing only 4th runner up.

Although it was not a major major response, Shamcey did answer the question intelligently. Asked by American actress Vivica A. Fox, the question was "Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love? Why or why not?"

Oktoberfest 2011 in Cebu

Your thirst will be quenched soon with the upcoming Oktoberfest Beer Festival 2011 here in Cebu.  So, prepare your mugs on the first day of October at MEPZA Field in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu.  All San Miguel Beer (SMB) brands will be sold for as low as P10.00 per 160 mL cup.

Oktoberfest 2011 also showcases the San Miguel Beer Tansankatutak promo. You can collect eleven (11) SMB crowns to get a functional mini bottle. For one hundred (100) SMB crowns, you can get a set of ten multi-use functional mini bottles. Thelma runs now on theater

Amidst the controversies,  unstoppable Thelma will run today, September 7, 2011 in all movie theaters nationwide.  This is the first independent film of Maja Salvador brought by Time Horizon Pictures in cooperation with Abracadabra Productions.

Sports-themed,  this movie portrays the passion and determination of a young athlete to fulfill her dreams. She finds running her saving grace in resolving her problems. Accepting the challenging role, Maja Salavador underwent training with the National track star and Survivor Philippines castaway Elma Muros and her husband Jojo Posadas. It is reported that she had to run barefoot on concrete highways, river and even rocky roads. Muros will also play as her coach in the movie.

Other cast members are Tetchie Agbayani, John Arcilla, Eliza Pineda, Sue Prado, and Jason Abalos. This is under the direction of of Director Paul Soriano and is distributed by Star Cinema.
